Lindsay Lohan encourages 'SNL' writers to take their best shots

Image
AP Photo/Evan Agostini Lindsay Lohan, who is hosting "Saturday Night Live" this week, tells the show's writers to bring it on. Lindsay Lohan has made one thing clear to the writers of "Saturday Night Live," which she's hosting this Saturday night: They can make all the fun of her and her travails that they want to, and she's up for it. According to TMZ.com , Lohan told writers absolutely nothing is off limits and she's up for anything (and given all the material her past is giving them to work with, that's saying a lot). It's another way the actress is trying to put the past several years behind her, by showing, TMZ says, that she is in on the joke. Making that decision somewhat easier is that Lohan, in her own words, is a "clean and sober homebody" these days, a far cry from her nights of clubbing until past the wee hours. And she knows it will take more than her word to clear her name. In an interview on the "Today" sh

Lindsay Lohan says goodbye to partying ways

LINDSAY Lohan has put her partying days behind her in favour of quiet nights in. The actress says in a prerecorded interview with NBC's Today show that she felt "uncomfortable" the last time she went out partying and that she had turned into more of a homebody, People magazine reported. "That's not my thing anymore," she tells host Matt Lauer in the interview set to air on Thursday morning. "I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. "And it just wasn't fun for me. I've become more of a homebody, and I like that." Lohan - who has had a well-publicised battle with drugs and alcohol - is near the end of a 60-day community service stint at a Los Angeles morgue and is likely to move soon to informal probation. She is currently on probation after pleading no contest in May 2011 to stealing a $2,500 necklac

Lindsay's Next Role: Callista?

Everything is fair game when Lindsay Lohan takes the stage at Studio 8H on Saturday night to host "Saturday Night Live." Maybe even some political humor. SNL writers have been fleshing out skit ideas for the actress over the past few days, and a source tells Fox411 that one of the ideas involves Lohan playing none other than Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich s wife Callista. Could Lohan make the transition from Venice Beach blonde to Republican bleach blonde? It entirely depends which Lindsay Lohan shows up.Lindsay the actor, or Lindsay the TMZ celebrity we've come to know from various court appearances, says journalist Glynnis MacNicol who covers both media and politics. If it's the former and Lohan arrives sharp and confident, than this could be a great opportunity for her to kick her career back on track and remind people she can act.Calista Gingrich is a terrific figure in SNL terms (that hair!) and presumably someone Lohan could have a lot of over-t
