Rumours circulate after his company puts out a casting notice for "Franco and Lohan Types"
Actor James Franco has dismissed rumours that he is making a film about himself and Lindsay Lohan.
Last month (August), a notice appeared on a Hollywood casting website asking for "James Franco Types ages 13, 21, 30, 45, and 60" and "Lindsay Lohan type ages 13, 21, 30, 45 and 60".
Further information was scant, but the producers for the "video/art project" were listed as Miles Levy and Vince Jolivette, who are partners in Franco's company Rabbit Bandini Productions. Rumours soon circulated that Franco was planning to make a film about himself and infamous Mean Girls star Lohan.
When asked about the casting notice by E! News on Saturday (September 8), Franco replied: "That's something I really didn't publicise. We just put out a casting call for a Lindsay Lohan and James Franco type. People just saw the casting call and picked that up and made up a lot of stories about it."
Franco also declined to reveal further details about the so-called "video/art project", saying: ! "It's really a project that's really under the radar for now."
Lohan recently joined the cast of Scary Movie 5 and is currently shooting The Canyons, the first film written by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis. The ever prolific Franco has several films coming up, including psychological thriller The Letter and porn biopic Lovelace, in which he plays Hugh Hefner.
