Lohan 'planning to sue street accuser'
Lindsay Lohan reportedly wants to sue the restaurant cook who has accused her of clipping him with her car and reeking of drink when he confronted her.
The 26-year-old has been quoted by celebrity websites as saying: 'I'm tired of people lying just to score a quick paycheck.'
Jose Rodriguez accused her of hitting him with her Porsche outside a New York nightclub and claimed she and her entourage had acted like he was 'nothing'.
The 34-year-old said their attitude seemed to be that 'no one could touch her because she was so rich and powerful'.
Grainy video of the incident released by police showed her car turning from the street in Manhattan into an alleyway near The Dream hotel.
Mr Rodriguez, who was standing in a crowd of people, was apparently hit on the knee as the car went past.
He claimed he 'fell to the side' and felt 'so much pain'.
However, the tape shows him staying on his feet and walking after the sports car as it moves away.
Emergency services were called and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
He has alleged that the star was slurring her words and smelled of drink.
Police who arrested her said they did not believe she was under the influence of alcohol.
Lohan is currently on probation for a drink-drive offence committed in 2007.
Her spokesman Steve Honig insisted: 'We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue.'
Lohan is preparing for the November release of Liz and Dick, a biopic in which she stars as screen legend Liz Taylor. Grant Bowler plays Richard Burton.
