Lindsay Lohan lashes out at media's theft lies
The Mean Girls star was among a group of guests interviewed by police on Monday (20Aug12) in a bid to aid their investigation and locate some expensive jewellery which had been reported missing following a bash at the home on Sunday (19Aug12).
Lohan was said to have been fully co-operative with cops and insisted she had nothing to do with the missing gems, but critics have cast doubt on the actress' innocence as she was previously convicted on a misdemeanour theft charge.
However, Lohan has taken issue with detractors' comments and she has blasted them for trying to sabotage her career comeback.
In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, "All of this negative press is BS (bulls**t).... Whenever I'm doing great, people fabricate lies. It's such a shame. I'm just sayin'".
Lohan was sentenced to 120 days behind bars and 480 hours of community service after allegedly stealing a necklace from a jewellery store last year (11). The theft conviction was also found to be in violation of her probation, but she served her time under house arrest due to jail overcrowding.
She has been working on making a return to the spotlight in recent months and wrapped an Elizabeth Taylor TV biopic this summer (12), while she has also been working on another new film called The Canyons.
