Lindsay Lohan wanted on theft charges

Police in Los Angeles are seeking actress and singer Lindsay Lohan for questioning over the theft of some jewelery.

It is beleived the watches were stolen from the home of a friend who Lindsay visited recently.

The Los Angeles Times reported that police will present a case to prosecutors to determine if there was enough evidence to lay charges.

If Lohan is charged, she could risk going back jail.

The starlet is still on a five-year informal probation following her involvement in a jewelery theft case last year.

A spokesman for Lohan has declined comment.

The Times reported that police were still investigating and said it was not clear who exactly was a suspect.

The website TMZ.com reported that the troubled actress and her assistant were guests at a home in the Hollywood Hills, where the owner later reported a theft to the LA police.

The Times said the owner of the watches is not cooperating with their investigation.
