Lindsay Lohan mum Dina Lohan campaigns for Dancing with the Stars slot

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan is openly campaigning for a slot on Dancing with the Stars.

Dina revealed to Extra host Mario Lopez that she would love to be paired with professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy on the ABC reality competition's new season.

Lopez playfully cautioned Dina on Chmerkovskiy's quick temper with his celebrity partners, only for her to reply: "I like that!"

An ABC spokesperson has not yet commented on Dina's desire to join Dancing with the Stars, which will be entering its 16th season this spring.

It was recently reported that Dina's daughter Lindsay had turned down a $550,000 (346,784) offer to compete on Dancing with the Stars in order to focus on her acting work.

ABC premieres the new season of Dancing with the Stars on Monday, March 18 at 8/7c.
