TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Michael Lohan, the father of actress Lindsay Lohan, has pleaded guilty in a Florida court to battering his ex-girlfriend, officials said.
The St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times said the elder Lohan was ordered to complete a four-month domestic-violence treatment program and was placed on two years probation as part of his plea deal.
Former tabloid reporter Kate Major accused Lohan of physically abusing her in October 2010 in her Tampa apartment.
Lohan also pleaded guilty to contacting her after a judge instructed him not to and to jumping out of a balcony window to elude police, the Times said.
