Pitbull Launches Counterclaim Against Lindsay Lohan Over Rap Lyric
Miami rapper Pitbull has responded to Lindsay Lohan filing a lawsuit against he and Ne-Yo over a controversial lyric in one of their songs by serving her with a claim of his own.
The Hollywood actress took offence to the line, "I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan," on the track 'Give Me Everything,' taken from Pitbull's 2011 album Planet Pit and subsequently instructed her lawyers to take action against the rapper, guest vocalist Ne-Yo and producer Afrojack, claiming the lyric was "destined to do irreparable harm" to her character.
However, Pitbull is reported to have launched a counterclaim claiming LiLo's multiple jail stints give justification for his use of the line and, as a resident of California, she was ineligible to file the suit in New York.
Pitbull is set to do a short tour of India at the start of December, with proceeds from the show going to one of the country's AIDS foundations.
