Michael Lohan Struggling to Breathe, Speak Ahead of Heart Surgery, Report Says
Michael Lohan is scheduled to undergo heart surgery Monday, but sources tell TMZ that the father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan is struggling to eat and breathe.
Doctors delayed Michael Lohan's scheduled heart surgery after discovering blood clots in one of his lungs.
TMZ reported that Lohan, the father of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, was rushed to a Tampa, Fla., hospital Thursday after complaining of chest pains, and was scheduled to undergo surgery Friday.
Doctors discovered blood clots in one of Lohan's lungs during their initial examination, but discovered more Friday, according to TMZ.
He was put on medication to dissolve the clots before the operation, now scheduled for Monday.
Lohan has suffered heart problems in the past.
He is currently on probation as part of a plea deal over assaulting ex-girlfriend Kate Major. As part of his two-year probation, he is attending a four-month domestic violence treatment program.
