Lindsay Lohan's dad defends her against Rosie O'Donnell

Soon after Rosie O'Donnell expressed her displeasure Tuesday that Lindsay Lohan will be playing Elizabeth Taylor in an upcoming Lifetime movie, LiLo's daddy dearest, Michael Lohan, came to his daughter's defense.

"Lindsay's talent isn't limited to being a comedian or getting notoriety for adopting and raising a bunch of kids," Michael Lohan told www.tmz.com Tuesday. "Sure, (Lindsay) has her pitfalls, but she is 25, and how old is Rosie? Two failed talk shows, a failed marriage."

O'Donnell, while visiting NBC's "Today" on Tuesday, said she feels sorry for Lindsay but opined that a starring role in "Liz and Dick" isn't going to help her.

"She's had a lot of trouble doing every single movie, including 'SNL,' " O'Donnell said of Lindsay's March appearance as host of "Saturday Night Live." "She was out and not at rehearsal. I think she's not in a place to work."
