The man arrested for trespassing on Lindsay Lohan's property has been sentenced to probation.

Lonnie Short was picked up by police on Sunday (January 1) when he repeatedly knocked at Lohan's door and demanded to speak with her.

It was later reported that Short is a friend of Lohan's alleged stalker David Cocordan and wanted to talk with her about the man.

Short was convicted of a misdemeanour count of trespassing after entering a no contest plea in an LA City court on Wednesday (January 4), reports TMZ.

He was given credit for time served in jail and received 24 months of probation as well.

The judge also issued a restraining order against Short, which bars him from contacting or being within 100 yards of Lohan until 2014.

Lohan's spokesperson has not commented on the case.
