Lindsay Lohan received her second favorable probation report in a row, and a judge told the actress that she appears to be on track to complete a strict program by the end of March, the Associated Press reports.

Lohan appeared in court for less than five minutes Tuesday to update the judge on her progress in completing strict probation terms that were imposed in November after a series of missteps by the actress.

By all accounts, the rigid program has benefited Lohan, with Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner telling Lohan that she received favorable reports from probation officials and her community service program. Lohan is doing mandatory cleanup duty at the county morgue and attending frequent psychotherapy sessions, with Sautner requiring Lohan to appear in court monthly for updates.

"Just keep doing what you're doing, you appear to be doing it well," Sautner told Lohan.

The model and actress arrived early for Tuesday's hearing, wearing black slacks, a blue blouse and matching sweater.

The "Mean Girls" star will have to work at the morgue 15 times before she returns to court on Feb. 22.

Sautner said Lohan appears to be on track to complete morgue duty and court-mandated therapy by March 29, just shy of five years after the actress' problems began with a drunken driving arrest on Memorial Day weekend in 2007. After that, she will probably be placed on informal probation that won't require court appearances.

Paula Deen has announced that she has Type 2 diabetes, but the Food Network star doesn't plan on letting the disease stop her from sharing the recipes that made her famous, E! News reports.

Although the celebrity chef will be easing up on the butter cakes and start counting calories.

"When I learned I had type 2 diabetes, I decided to approach managing the disease with the same positivity and 'go get 'em' attitude I have ! every da y. In the past, I've heard so many stories of people like me that let diabetes control their lives, but I didn't want to let this slow me down. I wanted to take control and have a delicious time doing it," Deen said in a message to fans on her website.

"So today, I want to bring a new light to type 2 diabetes," she continued. "I, along with [sons] Jamie and Bobby, are sharing with Americans an exciting new campaign called 'Diabetes in a New Light.' It's going to be a tasty journey, and I hope that y'all will come along with me."

The Queen of Southern Cuisine turned up on NBC's Today Show on Tuesday to plug the effort, which offers up a "dash of inspiration" through cooking tips on eating a balanced diet and ideas to help people manage their diabetes and find a treatment plan with their doctor that works for them.

"Of course, I will continue to share my favorite Southern recipes, just like my mama, grandmother and family shared with me over the years. And now, I'll be adding a little bit of a lighter touch to some of these wonderful dishes," she said.

Country music star Garth Brooks is suing an Oklahoma hospital that he says reneged on a promise to name a building after his late mother in exchange for a $500,000 donation, the Associated Press reports.

Brooks' lawsuit against Integris Canadian Valley Regional Hospital in Yukon seeks the return of the December 2005 donation. The trial at the Rogers County District Court begins Tuesday.

Brooks says hospital officials showed him mock-ups of buildings bearing Colleen Brooks' name and told him his donation was earmarked for such a project.

The hospital denies any wrongdoing and in court filings says Brooks' donation was "anonymous and unconditional."

It appears Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have said goodbye to their relationship.

A source confirms to E! News that the rocker and Jenner have split, after dating for almost two years.

While details of the breakup are being kept under wraps,! people may wonder what they're going to do about their matching tattoos (they inked each other's names on their bodies shortly after they began dating).

Jenner, whose romance with Lavigne began in early 2010, showed off a tattoo of the "Wish You Were Here" singer's name on his arm in July of that year. Lavigne debuted her matching tattoo of Jenner's name on her torso the same month while they were both on the beach in Malibu.

Should Jake Gyllenhaal be worried?

Taylor Swift graces the cover of Vogue's February issue and tells the magazine her next album will be about an "absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak" she experienced, the Associated Press reports.

The 22-year-old singer doesn't name names, but she did date Gyllenhaal for a few months in 2010, and he broke up with her.

Swift says it helps her to "feel better" and gain "clarity" by writing songs about her relationships.

She also says she now has a list of "red flags" warning her a relationship won't work: If a guy falls in love with her based on her Wikipedia page, is threatened that she needs security, puts her down or is obsessed with privacy, he's not for her.

The February issue of Vogue magazine goes on sale January 24.

Taking a page from the "Eat, Pray, Love" author's playbook, Tyra Banks took a trip to Asia and found a new love.

"It's a total long-distance romance," a source reveals to People of Banks' new Balinese love interest. "But it's a big deal."

Banks, who split with longtime boyfriend John Utendahl last fall, had gone to China shortly before the holidays to tape the latest season of "America's Next Top Model."

She met her new man while traveling and after flying back to New York, she turned right around and flew back to Bali to spend the holidays with him, the source says.
