Lindsay Lohan 'hit and run' case dropped

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan won't be prosecuted over claims of a hit-and-run, because her accuser is a 'non-credible witness,' authorities announced Friday.

Thaer Kamal, who said Lohan struck him with her Porsche outside a Los Angeles nightclub in March, had changed his story and refused to share medical records from the episode with investigators, TMZ reported.

Investigators also said CCTV footage showed 'no collision,' the website reported.

The actress had maintained the claim she struck Kamal as she left a parking lot was a fabrication.

Lohan, who has had a well-publicized battle with drugs and alcohol, recently completed probation after pleading no contest to stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles boutique, in addition to a 2007 DUI case.
