Lindsay Lohan caught Rick Santorum's attention at the White House Correspondents' dinner

Lindsay Lohan got plenty of attention at the White House Correspondent's dinner and much of it was reportedly from Rick Santorum.

The for! mer Penn sylvania senator Rick Santorum and former Republican presidential candidate was seen talking to the troubled star and reportedly asked her to take a photo of him with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren before taking a photo of Lohan himself, according to TMZ.

Lohan and Susterman were sitting next to each other at the event, which also included guests like Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, George Clooney, Reese Witherspoon and "Glee" cast members.

Santorum was running for President of the United States in the upcoming 2012 election, which takes place in November, but dropped out in April. When asked after the dinner if he had posed for a photo with Lohan, Santorum said casually, "I took a picture with a lot of people today."

Lohan has not commented on the incident, but addressed rumors that she had missed her flight, Tweeting, "Didn't miss my flight, was always taking a red eye because I was working during the original flight."

Lohan also voiced her excitement for comedian Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted the star-studded event, writing, "I heart Jimmy Kimmel he's such a nice guy and is hysterical."

Both Kimmel and President Barack Obama poked fun at Kim Kardashian, who appeared to be in good spirits.

Kimmel also noted that Sully Sullenberger, the pilot who landed an airplane in 2009 on the Hudson Ri! ver near Manhattan when the airplane became disabled after hitting a flock of geese, was in the audience. "Sully would you do us a favor? Would you mind driving Lindsay Lohan home," Kimmel joked. "Make sure you don't run into a goose. Especially Grey Goose."

It was announced on April 23 that she was cast to play Elizabeth Taylor in the in the Lifetime Original Movie "Liz & Dick."

The film will be based on the story of Taylor's torrid romance with actor Richard Burton and is set to begin shooting in June in Los Angeles, the network said in a statement. The actor playing Burton has not been announced.
