Lindsay Lohan will be charged for obstruction for lying to police after June car crash

Accident-prone actress Lindsay Lohan will be charged with obstruction of justice, TMZ is reporting, for telling Santa Monica police she was not behind the wheel of her Porsche when it collided with an 18-wheeler back in June.

Multiple witnesses who were on the scene of the crime report that Lindsay was driving her vehicle when the accident took place.

If Lohan is convicted of the charge, it could spell jail time: The misdemeanour would be a violation of Lohans probation for shoplifting jewellery in Los Angeles.

Lohan was taken to the hospital in early June of this year after her Porsche collided with an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. At the time, Lohan claimed to have been in the passenger seat, and that the truck cut her vehicle off.

Just months later, in September, Lohan was again involved in a car accident this time in Manhattan, when she was accused of h! aving left the scene after hitting a pedestrian with her car. Lohan was absolved of all responsibility in that case, which her publicist said ended up being a big nothing.
