Lindsay Lohan: 'I Am Working Hard & Fulfilling My Obligations'

Lindsay Lohan is defending herself following reports she was booted from performing her court-ordered service at the Women's Center in Downtown Los Angeles.

"I am not to be made an example of anymore," she wrote on her WhoSay account on Friday, apparently aiming her words at TMZ, which, on Thursday, first reported Lindsay was no longer performing her community service at the Women's Center.

"I am working hard and fulfilling my obligations every single day, to the court as well as myself," the actress continued. "If I travel, its for work and its been approved. As is anything I do when I leave the state. I'd appreciate it if people will just let me do what is asked of me, so that I can get my life back. Please ignore the reports which have no truth to them. Thank you."

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com , Lohan is now serving her court-ordered community service with a new organization.

On Thursday, a spokesperson for the American Red Cross in Los Angeles confirmed to Access Hollywood that the actress is performing her community service with the group.

The spokesperson was unable to offer details on her start date or the nature of her work.

A rep for Lohan would not discuss why the actress is no longer working with the first organization she was assigned to by the court.

Lohan has another hearing in front of the judge in Los Angeles on October 19. She was previously ordered to complete 480 hours of community service within a year, a sentence related to her probation for drunken driving and misdemeanor theft cases.
