Lindsay Lohan Kicked Out of Community Service Program

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been transferred out of her court ordered community service program for failing to show up and perform the required number of hours.

The troubled actress was ordered by Judge Stephanie Sautner to do a combined 480 hours of community service by next April as part of her probation in a shoplifting case involving a $2,500 necklace.

She has completed 12 of 360 hours at the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles. Lohan is also supposed to do 120 hours of janitorial work at the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

But Lohan, 25, has now been transferred from the Women's Center to the American Red Cross, after failing to keep her appointments, according to district attorney's office spokeswoman Jane Robinson.

The 'Mean Girls' star failed to show up to several scheduled visits. When she did work, instead of volunteering for the mandated four hours, she would leave after one hour, law enforcement sources said.

Lohan has yet to appear at the L.A. County coroner's office.

Recently, Lindsay appeared at photo shoots and New York Fashion Week.

Her publicist, Steve Honig defended her actions, saying "Lindsay has been working very closely with her advisers to balance the demands of making a living while at the same time fulfilling her court-mandated obligations."

Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, has voiced his concern, saying he's worried about her community service.

"Her lawyers and I have done all we can to keep her out of jail and the last thing in the world I want to see is her to get violated," he said.

Lindsa! y is due back in court next week for a progress hearing, which could cause more trouble for the actress.

The last time Lindsay stood before Judge Sautner, Sautner made it clear that Lohan would not get any additional time to complete her community service.
