The troubled actress stroked her chin and seemed thoughtful as she perched on a chair outside an LA restaurant.

She hid behind a floppy hat and a pair of dark glasses while taking a smoke break with Denzel Washington's nephew Anthony.

The cigarettes are bad news for Lohan's battered smile.

The star shocked onlookers earlier this week when she was snapped with a set of badly chipped and discoloured teeth.

It seems her hard-partying lifestyle may have caught up with her - and may make her recent struggle to find a job even more difficult.

Lohan has been looking for work since her release from house arrest earlier this year, but has had trouble landing a film role.

In a further blow for the star, it has been reported that she has breached several of the terms of her probation.

While a judge required Lohan to see a psychologist every week as part of the terms of her release, she has failed to do so.

And while she is required to complete 360 hours of community service by May next year, so far the star has managed just 21 hours.

The star is due to appear before the judge next week for a progress report, after which she could be sent back to jail if she has failed to meet the terms of her probation.
