Lindsay Lohan ahead of schedule to finish court-ordered community service
LOS ANGELES -- Lindsay Lohan is ahead of schedule to finish the community service requirement for her probation, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.
Law enforcement sources said the actress is quietly dedicating significant time at the Los Angeles County morgue, where she is required to work 480 hours.
The community work is part of the sentence for her probation violation on a necklace theft conviction from May, as well as a 2007 DUI case.
"She is diligently completing her community service," Lohan's rep told NewsCore about the troubled starlet.
Lohan was in court in November, where she pleaded guilty to violating her probation by failing to regularly appear for her scheduled visits at the Downtown Women's Center in Los Angeles.
She was sentenced to 30 days in jail for the offense, but only spent four and a half hours inside due to jail overcrowding.
Judge Stephanie Sautner, who is overseeing Lohan's case, said she was "putting the keys to the jail" in Lohan's hands and threatened the actress with 270 additional days in jail if she violates her probation again.
Lohan, 25, will next be in court December 14 to report on her probation progress to Sautner.
The day after her court hearing, Lohan will unveil her Playboy spread on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
The cover shot of her highly anticipated pictorial leaked online this week.
