Lindsay Lohan not attending New Years Eve party in Dubai
Lindsay Lohan. (Chris Pizzello - AP) Lindsay Lohan will begin the new year on dry land, despite reports to the contrary.
Earlier this week, United Arab Emirates-based gossip site Ahlan! Live claimed that the actress was planning to celebrate the end of 2011 at a big bash on the QE2, which is currently docked in Dubai. This contradicted TMZs report that LiLo was going to lay low on the holiday to demonstrate her commitment toward changing her public image.
Lohan was recently praised by a judge for meeting her probation goals.
Ahlans report was picked up by a few outlets that seemed concerned (and perhaps a bit delighted) by Lohans alleged inability to stop partying.
Sorry to spoil your potential schadenfreude, but there is no truth to Ahlan!s report, Lohans rep Steve Honig told TMZ. ! She will be spending New Year's Eve in Los Angeles with a few close friends and family, he explained.
Honig was unavailable for comment when contacted by Celebritology.
The report also claimed that Pamela Anderson would attend the QE2 celebration. She will, in fact, host a party at the MGM Grands Studio 54, according to her official Twitter feed.
Global Event Management, which is organizing the event, has not responded to a request for comment.
