Lindsay Lohan - Lindsay Lohan Rep Plays Down Love's Sober Coach Claim
Lindsay Lohan's representative has played down reports Courtney Love is supporting the Mean Girls star through her sobriety battle after the rocker boasted about coaching the actress in a recent magazine interview.
Lohan has been in and out of jail and rehab in recent years, tackling both booze and illegal substance issues, and she's reportedly turned to Love to help her overcome her troubles.
The Hole frontwoman, who claims to have been sober since 2005, is adamant Lohan is "further down the line" in her personal drug battle than she ever was - but she's determined to help the young actress beat her demons - "because nobody else will".
Describing one of her sobriety methods, Love tells Details magazine, "I went up to Lindsay's room one time and there was a show on called 101 Celebrity Oops and I am like, every other one, you know - boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing s**t at Madonna, you know, whatever. I'm like 'Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!'"
But Lohan's spokesman insists Love is not the star's sober coach - she's just a supportive pal.
Steve Honig tells Eonline.com, "Courtney Love is not, nor has she ever been, Lindsay's sober coach. Lindsay is, however, grateful for her friendship."
