Lindsay Lohan's Playboy issue 'breaking sales records' says Hugh Hefner

The 25-year-old actress posed for the magazine's January-February double issue, originally slated for release in late December. After the actress' nude spread surfaced online, Hugh Hefner announced on Twitter that the issue would be released early on December 16. While there was speculation as to whether this would b! e positi ve or negative for the issue, things appear to be looking up.
"The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records," Hefner Tweeted on December 18.
Along with the leaked photos, Lohan missed her one scheduled appearance to promote the double issue on "The Ellen Show," after missing her flight home from a vacation in Hawaii where she reportedly had her purse and $10,000 stolen.
A Playboy spokesman wouldn't give specific sales numbers, but the official did say it was selling "very well," according to CNN.
The issue features Lohan posing with a Marilyn Monroe inspired look, and shows the actress baring it all. Hefner told E! News that "mama and the folks around her were pushing for less nudity," but that he ultimately convinced her that it would be "classy" and unforgettable.
Earlier this year, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a woman's shelter and morgue after a judge ruled the actress violated her 2007 probation with a misdemeanor theft charge.
Just in the last month, the 25-year-old actress was ordered to complete 12 days of community service and four psychotherapy sessions by her next hearing, which took place on Wednesday, December 14. The judge said that day that Lohan completed the required time at a morgue and had five counseling appointments. She has until late March to finish all of her hours.! p>
