Lindsay Lohan appears to be following in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood wild child Tara Reid, by stepping inside the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Producers have already flown to LA for business meetings with the 25-year-old, in a bid to lure her over the Atlantic.
The Freaky Friday actress is said to be close to signing on the dotted line with Channel 5 - should the US courts allow her to leave the country.
Big Sister: Lindsay Lohan is being lined-up to star in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK
A source told the Sunday Mirror: 'Lindsay would be an absolutely amazing signing for us.
'Shes a fiery character too, so there are sure to be a some major clashes with other celebrities if we get her in the house.'
Crew members have already started shooting background footage of her in preparation for the next series in January.
Yet the completed deal lies in the hands of the courts, as Lohan is still due to complete a sentence which involves over a month of community service.

Last month, the hellraiser spent a total of four-and-a-half hours behind bars after she was sentenced for violating a probation order.
The insider also revealed t! elevisio n bosses will persuade the courts to let Lohan to come to the UK by claiming the show will help to clean up her act.
'We hope that the courts will make a special allowance in this case... There arent many more controlled environments than the Big Brother house.'
LiLo's yo-yo career began in 1998 at the tender age of 11, when she landed the dual role of twins in the remake of The Parent Trap.
Resurrecting careers: Kerry Katona and Amy Childs won second and fourth place on the series earlier this year
Six years later, she had became a household name after catapulting to fame with the classic teenage hit Mean Girls.
But she suffered a spectacular fall from grace following a very public battle with alcohol and drugs, countless brushes with the law and spending more time clubbing than on film sets.
Consequently, several of her later films went straight to DVD, but a stint in the CBB house be just what she needs to resurrect her flailing popularity.
Last year, Paddy Doherty from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding took home the winner's title, with Kerry Katona and Jedward coming in second and third.
TOWIE beauty Amy Childs came a respectable fourth place, and was quickly rewarded with her own reality show It's All About Amy.
Bonding experience: Tara Reid struck up an unlikely friendship with Jedward
