LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Actress Lindsay Lohan is expected to appear Friday morning in court for a motions hearing on three misdemeanor counts stemming from a 2012 crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The 26-year-old actress has pleaded not guilty to charges of lying to police, reckless driving and resisting an officer.

Lohan allegedly lied to officers on June 8, 2012, saying that she was not behind the wheel of her Porsche and that her assistant was driving when the vehicle slammed into the back of a dump truck on PCH while on her way to the set of her Lifetime movie, Liz and Dick.

The actress was already on probation at the time of the crash for taking a diamond necklace from a Venice jewelry store.

Lohan, who is now represented by New York-based attorney Mark Heller, faces potential jail time ranging from three months to a year.

Last week, Heller filed a motion to suppress any statements taken at a hospital following the crash, claiming Lohan was not read her Miranda rights.

If the motion is granted, two of the charges against her would be dropped.

The case is set to go to trial on March 18 under Judge James Dabney, but rumors have surfaced about a potential plea deal.

Santa Monica city prosecutor Terry White is reportedly willing to settle the crash case if Lohan agrees to go to a 90-day rehab program.

However, the Los Angeles District Attorney will likely object to a deal, saying a convicti! on in the Santa Monica case will mean a violation of Lohans parole in LA.

The motions hearing is expected to begin at 8:30 a.m. at the LAX Court House.
