Lindsay Lohan is reportedly being pursued by Californian lawyer David Wohl, who believed he is the only one who can save the actress and is desperate to join her legal team ahead of her trial next month for lying to police following a June 2012 car accident, a new report claims.

The 26 year-old is currently being represented by New York lawyer Mark Heller, but Wohl reportedly wants to join the controversial figure who was criticised by the judge in the case for incompetence at the last hearing and was given an ultimatum for Lindsay to find an alternative criminal defence attorney, or for the actress to confirm in court she's waived the right to a lawyer, competent in Californian law.

According to TMZ, the lawyer has been practising California defence law for 25 years and was found by Lindsay's father Michael. He is reportedly ready to help with the case and has been in daily contact with Heller, though the 26 year-old is yet to actually give Wohl permission to becoming involved in her legal affair.

But it sounds like she should get her team ready for a tough legal battle when they head to court ! on March 18, for lying to police.

According to the LA Times, prosecutors in the case are holding a tough line and are refusing to accept any plea deal of less than 90 days in a locked rehabilitation facility.

They're reportedly not interested in a jail sentence either, as with the current system as overcrowding could see her spend as little as 10 days behind bars, an insider told the paper.

Due to her history of getting herself into trouble prosecutors are said to be convinced the only way to combat the potential danger she poses to the public and herself, is with effective treatment.

Lohan however has made it clear she's not interested in any deal that includes rehabilitation.

At her last court hearing, Heller told the judge in the case: "This is not what she needsrehab. Lindsay doesn't have a problem with alcohol and drugs. Lindsay's issues are different."
