The troubled 'Liz Dick' actress - who was previously served with demands for unpaid federal taxes of $US93,701.57 ($AUD91,080.81) and $US140,203.30 ($AUD136,294.14) for 2009 and 2010 respectively by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - has been sent a bill from the state of California, who claim she owes $US56,717.90 ($AUD55,130.14) for unpaid income tax dating back to 2011, gossip website TMZ has revealed.

Lindsay was helped to pay part of her previous tax bill by her 'Scary Movie 5' co-star Charlie Sheen.

The 'Anger Management' star gave the actress $US100,000 ($AUD97,212.78) after she allegedly didn't receive all the money she was supposed to be paid for her part in 'Scary Movie 5'.

The actor has repeatedly praised Lindsay - who has endured a multitude of legal problems and has battled substance abuse issues in recent years - and is confident she will get her life on track.

The reformed hellraiser - who also offered to pay half for the dress she wore to the amfAR Gala earlier this month - previously said: 'She's terrific, I mean she's going through a lot of stuff. But she's smart and super fabulous and I think will come out on top eventually.'
