Lindsay Lohan 'Seeks Help From A Spiritual Advisor'

She hasn't had the best few weeks, but help may be on hand for Lindsay Lohan in the form of a spiritual advisor.

The 26-year-old actress has apparently sought the advice of one in order to keep her out of prison.

According to TMZ, the 'Freaky Friday' star has asked the advisor to write a letter to the court regarding her upcoming case.

"Lindsay believes the letters will help prove jail is not the best option for her," a source told the website.

The redhead could be facing up to 245 days behind bars after she violated her probation, which was prompted from a 2011 jewellery theft and then resurfaced after she lied to police about a car crash she had earlier on this year.

It didn't help matters when Lindsay was arrested in New York City last month for allegedly hitting fellow partygoer, Tiffany Eve Mitchell, during a night out at a Manhattan nightclub.

A hearing for Lindsay's case is expected to take place on January 25, and with the help of her spiritual advisor - who she has been seeing since 2008, Lindsay may face counselling rather than time in jail.

According to TMZ, Lindsay recently admitted that she's 'lost control.'

She's apparently been telling friends that she thought she had turned over a new leaf back in March when she completed the terms of her sentence in the jewelry heist case ... and Judge Stephanie Sautner maternally warned, "Stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work."
