Once again, despite doing every single thing that would land us ordinary folk in the clink, Lindsay Lohan may escape the jail cell for a lighter sentence. Although her probation has been revoked, thePunkd star is predicted to spend more time incounseling, as opposed to more time behind bars. Is this the appropriate reaction to Lilos continued law breaking?
As we told you earlier today, Lindsay Lohan recently had her probation revoked, even though she has failed to appear in court to face three misdemanor charges stemming from a car accident in June. Another court appearance is scheduled for January 15th, but were thinking that the chances of Lilo showing up may be slim indeed.
Although she faces up to eight months in jail, inside! rs suspect that Lindsay will once again escape jail time in favor of alternative disciplinary measures. This source recently toldTMZ that Lilo had lucked out when Commissioner Jane Godfrey was assigned to the case, for as the source claims, Godfrey is not a big jail person.
Apparently, Jane Godfrey has a long history of presiding over drug-related court cases. In drug court, she avoids the heavy hand utilized by other commissioners, instead favoring an approach that includes counseling and community service. Weve witnessed this already, as Lindsay was required to participate in the community service program after her infamous jewel heist. The source adds that, often, Godfrey will award successful participants of drug court with elaborate graduation ceremonies and even Starbucks gift cards!
Do you think counseling and more community service is the best approach for Lindsay Lohan? Or is it time for the troubled star to head to jail? Leave a comment and let us know!
