Lindsay Lohan's Car Crash Trial Date Set
A judge has set the date for Lindsay Lohan to go on trial following her car crash last June.
The 26-year-old Liz & Dick star faces three misdemeanour charges following the incident on the Pacific Coast Highway.
Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner shook her head when she saw Lohan in her courtroom less than a year after warning the actress to stay out of trouble.
Lohan, who appeared in court in Los Angeles wearing a black dress, spoke only to confirm that she was changing her lawyer to New York attorney Mark Heller.
Judge Sautner set a trial date of March 18 as well as another hearing on March 1 that Lohan is not required to attend in person.
Lindsay Lohan has pleaded not guilty to lying to police, reckless driving and obstructing officers from performing their duties.
Prosecutors in Santa Monica charged her after her sports car crashed into a truck.
Authorities believe she was lying when she said she was not the one who was behind the wheel.
Lohan had been on probation for theft at the time.
Judge Sautner had previously warned her that she could be sentenced to 245 days in jail if she did not behave.
In March, she released Lohan from supervised probation but told her to stop partying and grow up.
"You need to live your life in a more mature way, stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work," she told Lohan at the time.
The reprimand came after the judge conducted several monthly updates with the actress.
Lohan was even required to clean a morgue in order to complete her sentence for her 2007 drink-driving case.
But in recent months, Lohan has repeatedly got herself into trouble, including two arrests in New York that did not result in charges.
Judge Sautner is retiring soon, and another judge will hear the upcoming trial and any related motions.
Lohan's hearing came the same day her father's fiancee gave birth to the actress' half-brother.
Michael Lohan's fiancee Kate Major gave birth on ! Wednesday to a baby boy the couple named Landon Major Lohan, according to various reports.
