Lindsay Lohan parts ways with lawyer Shawn Holley

Lindsay Lohan and lawyer Shawn Holley are parting ways.

Attorney Mark Heller filed paper work on January 18 to be Lohan's attorney in California, KABC-Television, OTRC.com's parent company, has confirmed. Heller represented the actress in court in New York.

Holley's last involvement with Lohan occurred earlier this month when Holley entered a plea of not guilty to misdemeanor charges on the actress' behalf in a Los Angeles courtroom on January 15. The charges stemmed from a summer 2012 car accident which caused a judge to revoke the actress' probation.

At the time, the judge asked Holley if she was representing Lohan, following reports that said the actress had dismissed her. The attorney said: "Yes, at this point, yes."

Lohan's probation was revoked on December 12, several days after she was charged with three misdemeanors by the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office in Santa Monica, California.

Authorities claim the actress lied to the cops who questioned her after her a Porsche carrying her and a man crashed into a dump truck on a California highway in June. They said evidence showed she was the driver of the car. They did not specify what she told the officers.

Lohan has an upcoming role in the film "The Cany! ons," but! the movie has been turned down by film festivals like Sundance and South by Southwest (SXSW), according to The Hollywood Reporter. The report quotes an alleged SXSW insider who says the film has "an ugliness and a deadness to it."

The actress was profiled on the set of the film by the New York Times in an article called "Here Is What Happens When You Cast Lindsay Lohan in Your Movie," which detailed the difficulties filmmakers had working with the Lohan.
