Lindsay Lohan off formal probation for the first time in four years

Lindsay Lohan wont appear in court until Thursday, but she is already off the hook as she has finally finished her probation.

TMZ reported Tuesday that the L.A. County District Attorney is satisfied that Lindsay completed the terms of her probation, based on a report from the L.A. County Probation Department. As a result, Judge Stephanie Sautner is set to terminate Lindsays probation in her case, which began with two back-to-back drunken driving arrests in 2007.

Lindsays formal probation for a necklace theft case will be changed to informal probation, and she will not be charged for misdemeanor theft. This informal probation will end after two-and-a-half years, provided she does not pick up any new charges, according to the L.A. City Attorney.

The Daily Mail reports that Lindsays alleged hit-and-run incident with Hookah Lounge manager Thaer Kamal is still under investigation by police. Lindsays probation officer, however, noted that no charges have been filed against her for the accident.

Last week, Radar Online reported Lindsay as saying that should Kamal file a civil lawsuit against her for the crash, she will countersue for his allegations.

According to TMZ, an excerpt from her probation report reads: The probationer (Lindsay) is in compliance with the terms and conditions of probation. The report recommends that probation continue the way it's been going, but that is standard for these reports.
